Work Package 1 (WP1): Synthesizing and strengthening the knowledge base
D1.1 Monitoring Framework
Deliverable D1.1 provides guidance for assessing the effectiveness of Sponge Measures (SMs) in enhancing landscape resilience to hydrometeorological extremes. It enables context-specific, evidence-based implementation and learning within and beyond the SpongeWorks project.
D1.2 Modelling Tools
Deliverable D1.2 aims to provide a coherent integrated assessment approach for quantifying sponge functioning, including sponge measures, sponge futures, and action, across physical, ecological, and socioeconomic dimensions.
D1.3 Guidance for Knowledge Co-Production
Deliverable D1.3 provides guidance on how justice can be integrated in the co-design of river basin sponge strategies to achieve both practical and ethical outcomes.
Work Package 3 (WP3): Implementing Sponge Measures
D3.2 Implemented Monitoring Networks
Deliverable D3.2 presents the design, implementation, and operational framework of the monitoring networks established across the three large-scale demonstration sites: the Pinios River Basin in Greece, the Lèze catchment in France, and the Vecht/Vechte basin in the Netherlands and Germany.

D6.1 Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication Plan (DECP)
Deliverable D6.1(DECP) serves as a strategic roadmap to ensure that the project’s outputs, focused on nature-based solutions (NbS) for climate resilience and water management, known as ‘sponge measures’, reach key stakeholders and achieve lasting impact.
Work Package 7 (WP7): Project Management
D7.1 Project Management Handbook
Deliverable D7.1 serves as a guide for the SpongeWorks project to ensure an efficient project implementation as well as high-quality project results. With this handbook, activities of all WPs are coordinated and consolidated throughout the project duration.
D7.2 Data Management Plan
Deliverable D7.2 provides a comprehensive framework for managing research data throughout the project’s lifecycle, including collection, processing, storage, sharing, preservation, and open access publications.
D7.3 Ethics, Quality and Risk
Deliverable D7.3 serves as a comprehensive framework for guiding the project in maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct, ensuring the delivery of high-quality project outputs, and effectively managing any risks that may arise throughout the project’s lifecycle.
D7.4 Documentation of Selection of Associated Regions
Deliverable D7.4 is comprised of reports on selection process, incl. selection criteria and identification, evaluation and decision-making process for SpongeWorks Associated Regions.
D7.5 Report on Guidelines for Applicants
Deliverable D7.5 provides a detailed overview of the methodology used to develop the Open Call for Associated Regions, along with guidelines, eligibility criteria, and evaluation and selection processes to support applicants.
